MARK KERR
Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director
Mark was appointed as Chairman of Nido in June 2023 and has extensive experience as Chairman, Non-Executive Director and adviser in a diverse range of sectors, across both publicly listed and private companies. Mark was previously the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Think Childcare Limited, from its IPO and ASX listing in 2014, until its acquisition via a scheme of arrangement to Busy Bee’s Australia in 2021. Mark is also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Mathew Edwards
Founder and Managing Director
Mathew founded Nido Education Limited following the privatisation of the listed Think Childcare Limited (TNK) in 2021. He has been involved in the childcare sector since 2001 and was the Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Think Childcare. Mathew was responsible for overseeing the growth of Think Childcare, taking it from 30 centres at IPO to 88 Centres upon the sale of the business. Mathew is also a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Joe Dicks
Independent Non-Executive Director
Joe was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Nido in June 2023 and was previously a Non-Executive Director of Think Childcare Limited from April 2018 until its acquisition via a scheme of arrangement to Busy Bee’s Australia in 2021. Joe has 20 years’ multi-national experience as a non-executive director in a broad range of industries. He also has in-depth experience in government funded and regulated industries, infrastructure, and the education and aged care sectors. Joe is also Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Vanessa Porter
Independent Non-Executive Director
Vanessa was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Nido in June 2023 and is a seasoned executive, with over 30 years’ of experience in major global companies, across many industries and markets. Previously, Vanessa served as the Director of Talent and Development, Divisional Lead (ANZ and South Africa) and the Chief Executive Officer of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for McDonald’s Australia Limited. Vanessa is also Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Trinh Bui
Company Secretary
Trinh was appointed Company Secretary in May 2024. She is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, with over 7 years’ experience as a company secretary in the listed sector and more than 15 years in governance and risk management. Trinh holds an LL.B, a Bachelor of Management, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management. She was admitted as a solicitor and barrister in New South Wales in June 2001 and as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2005.
