Nido presents at ECA National Conference 2023
Earlier this month, Adelaide hosted the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) National Conference 2023 with a theme, Kumarninthi—Becoming one: Old ways, new wisdom.
With over 2000 attendees in attendance and hundreds viewing the Conference virtually, this three-day event was rich in learning, networking and insights, from a vast array of professionals from the childcare sector.
Our Executive Service Manager from Nido Early School Ocean Grove, Laura Fay, presented her experience and ideas around promoting gender inclusivity in her service. Laura was quick to acknowledge her team’s contribution to this ongoing project and the strength she draws on from the critical reflections with professionals, children and families in her service and community. People And Quality Leader VIC, Rachel Betts highlighted how valuable this presentation was: “An effortless presentation with so much to leave us thinking about and striving towards. Some comments from the participants ranged from ‘powerful’, ‘lots to think about’ and many more reflections on scenarios from their encounters with children and families.”
Nido’s commitment is to create an environment where everyone feels included, inspired, fulfilled and happy. Our early schools deliver quality education across Australia that exceeds the National Quality Standard and this is thanks to the huge efforts of our passionate teams.
We are excited to use the insights learnt from this session and put into practice, to inspire other individuals to follow our mission. If you’d like to find out more about careers at Nido head to our website.
